Columbus Day is not a national holiday. Massachusetts has the day off, but in New Hampshire school is still scheduled. I'm not sure which other states have it as a holiday.

tomorrow (Monday) is a national Canadian holiday, as it iws Thanksgiving Day. Most people here have the day off. I don't know that it is a US holiday. (The US Thanksgiving is in November). However I notice that one of the other answres says it is a bank holiday.

Tomorrow is Columbus Day but most places celebrated it this past Monday so it didn't disturb the middle of the work week. My daughter had the school day off Monday.

Yes, it is. The banks are going to be closed. It's actually just a day of observing the holiday. The actual holiday, is October 12.
But that's just in the USA. In Canada, October 9 is Thanks Giving.

i am working.....and i don't really observe the holiday anyway. When i was a kid we got Columbus day off. Lots of people don't celebrate it because of all the ucked up things that happened to native americans, or because it is historically incorrect....but Italians like it.
