What does this mean to you? Its an assigment for 2marrow i know what i think it means but what do you think it means. I think its intresting

it sounds like philisophical mumbo jumbo. I disagree.

Poverty in this sense may be understood as the deprivation of essential goods and services.

Describing a lack of sufficient income and wealth. The meaning of "sufficient" varies widely across the different political and economic parts of the world.

Poverty is the inablity to be able to have certain things inlife or necessities in life that are essential.

True poverty is not the extent to which an individual does without resources, rather it is the inability to afford or have resources.

That sentence describes socail poverty...the inability to meet the social level requirements for a certain status in society

WOW, I cant believe how some people can be so narrow minded...sure we can all get 12 years of free education, but the teachers, school and parents make all the difference. I think that the quote you gave is true but a very narrow view. It doesnt really take into consideration all the reasons that poverty exists.

Poverty is not the extent to which an individual does without resources. Poverty is when you are too lazy to get off your fat *** and work. We are all given the same opportunity to get twelve years of education for free. It is what we do with that education and ourselves that either makes us poor or makes us part of the working class.
Poverty is all about a person's lack of desire to have anything.

it means people that are in proverty have low income, live in projects, and probably are usually immagrants. and people who are in proverty aren't lazy. they don't have the education they needed and they came here and there they are-in proverty. it's sad.
