Before I became disabled, I observed all the time. I live in N. Texas, but there is NOTHING like Colorado or Arkansas in the fall. Up in the mountains, with all the deer and the colors changing. With the crisp, clean, cool air to breathe. There is nothing better than communing with nature and understanding that you are really just a small part of something very much larger.
Now my pain is so great, that I can't enjoy it as much. But, I am still always looking for any small part of nature to brighten my day.

Yeah I live in the middle of the most beautiful state. Mountains to the West, Forest to the North and no neighboors for 5 miles. I will go away for hours just looking at nature.

All the time, it's how I deal with the stress in my life. I just go out on my deck which is on the edge of a forest, and just watch. My favorite is watching storms coming and if I'm lucky, and very still and quiet, I see a doe that lives in the forest come up into the yard with her twin fawns.

Yes... the full moon, the cactus that blooms early in the a.m. at the entry of my neighborhood, a hawk soaring, a spider spinning its web, the pounding surf, and the list could go on and on and on.
