Well my guess is that their nuclear power has a limited range as they probably only have short range rockets. So if they ever decided to use them it would have to be on a country within the region, of which there are several that North Korea might possibly use them against if they felt the need to. This would lead to military retatliation against North Korea, but I can only imagined that the UN would be ok with military action against a North Korea that used nuclear weapons. North Korea, in my opinion, does not have enough allies or enough power to become a powderkeg like the Middle East is, so if you are looking for a Doomsday WWIII scenario, I don't think it plays out with a North Korean war. In my opinion, it would be a pretty unanimous decision in the West and in the UN to retaliate against NK if they ever decided to use their nuclear capacity without any good reasons (if there ever are any).

I'm not really worried. If they are dumb enough to attack America, we could destroy them in a day or two. That is, if we don't puss out like we have been doing.

Hopefully they will just nuke L.A. and we will not lose a soul. We may lose some hippies, but they don't have souls anyway.
