My Problem:
I Live In Ontario, Canada & My girlfriend who is from here but now lives in Kalamazoo Michigan (for school). Its about 2-.5-3 hours away. And i cant stand being away from her!
What I want to do is move out there, get a job & an apartment maybe. But how would/should i go about doing this? I have very little money now. I have a dead end job. Right now she stays in a dorm. I know it would be worth it! Any thoughts/tips will be appreciated. Not too much negativity though ;-)

Hi! I go to college (live in the dorm) and my boyfriend lives about an hour away. It's been like that for two years now. I know it's hard, but if you guys can handle it for awhile, it will make your relationship alot stronger! Stay connected by doing little things for each other (check out www.lovingyou.com), and for now work hard and save your money and use this time to get yourself in a better spot financially. Good luck!

Your plan to be with her will only work if you have enough money to relocate to Michigan in order to be close to her. That means renting an apartment or a house, which in turn means paying security deposit and advance rental. Most important of all, find a job at Michigan to be able to survive. Realistically speaking, that is what you need to prepare. Nothing negative there - just being practical and honest.

It would probably be best to figure out what they have for employment in Kalamazoo, and go from there. You would also have to check into getting a green card. Or you could try and further your education as well while she is gone.

Go for it buddy! I would do some research on the area first! In the long run, you would save money on gas, show your girlfriend that you are REALLY serious. And maybe move on with your career. Although...you should look into the legal side of things. You will definatly have to get a greencard (no illegals, please!) Or if you are planning to stay longer, look into getting your us citizenship.

Get a better job where you are right now, if you two are meant to be, she will wait for you to get it all together. Have you discussed this with her?
