As for your question, I'd have to say Lateralus, but I definitely appreciate 10,000 days for it's different sounds. I'm an old Tool fan, and I've never ever been able to choose one album I liked better than the other. I've loved each one in different ways. Seriously though, when I think Tool I think of Undertow. Love Undertow.

Ok I'll admit that I'm somewhat new to Tool. So far, I've heard only 10,000 Days, Opiate, and Undertow. Out of these 3, I'd say that my favorite so far has definitely been 10,000 Days. It just amazes me how they can still come up with these complex rythms and mind-provoking lyrics(Rosetta Stoned, anyone?) after 15 or so years. These guys kick a**

Lateralus is a better album overall but 10000 days has the best songs eg Vicarious, Jambi and Roseta Stoned.
