I got the shot for almost three years, and recently ended my long term relationship, thus no need for birthcontrol...I am selibut!! But its been about 6 months and still no period. Will I ever get one again?

They say about a year, for me it was about 18 months. My periods are actually almost regular since I've been getting them again which they were anything but before the shot. I went in after a year of not getting it and they just said to hold of and not worry. Eventually I did get it back. When in doubt, call the doctor and ask. Good luck!

I just asked my gyno the same thing. She said 1-2 years to get a normal period back... I however had bleeding within a month and spotting every few days. She put me low does birth control to regulate my periods.

it can take six months to a year after your last depo to get your periods back.

It differs for everyone, no clear cut answer. Maybe try checking out the manufacturer's website?

everyone is different, you will eventually get it and it maybe painful and heavy, but i would get ckd out just in case. i wouldnt worry too much about it i had a friend that took one yr to start hers again.........good luck

took me 13 months, and I still (19 months) don't have a regular cycle. don't hold your breath!
