To get a B-1 tourist visa to the US, you need to show an ability to finanically support yourself while here in the US, as well as show your strong ties to home country. In other words, prove to the Embassy official that you are going to come home and not overstay your visa.
Check the consulate's website for ideas of types of proof (bank statements, letter from employer, etc.)

The purpose of visit, how long for what,
and importantly will u come back or not?
You need to give documentary evidence regarding all this, plus your financial status. If you are sponsored , then one more document.
