Can you sell magazines at a yard sale, and if so, how much ($0.05)? What is a good price for fairly good condition used paperback books?
What is a good price for children's clothes? If I make my own picture frames, can I sell them at a garage sale, like I would at acraft sale? And if anyone can give an estimated price range for other things not listed, that would be helpful. Thanks!

u can sell pretty much anything u want at a garage sale...my husband and i had one before we moved...we sold books for about 25 cents pictures and picture frames for about 1 dollar or 2 dollars depending how nice it is...for my daughters clothes i went cheap and i put all the clothes in tubs according to their sizes and put a sign up for 25 cents for single clothing items out fits i pinned together and put 75 cents jeans were 1.00 dollar and any other clothing items i priced for what i though it was worth...if people think it is to high a price they will bargain with you....if u are having your garage sale for a couple of days at the end of each day i lowered all the prices for the next day so they would sell easier....

Yea first of the month is the best time to have one. When you price something- think about how much you would want to pay for it. Most clothes don't go over a few bucks. Magazines and books- under a dollar

The best way to set the prices is to visit another local sale and see what they charge or your local thrift shop. No one will buy from you if they can get it cheaper somewhere else.

Put your craft projects on another table away from the used goods and make sure you are able to make a profit for your time and materials used.

I usually sell the magazines for 0.05 or 0.10 depending on what it is. If it's collecter mags like Martha Stewart I sell for more.

rule of thumb here- always run your yard sales the first of the month why?? money day!! social security chcks, are flying around, and big money days hons-- the last of the month and midle verybody is dead broke!! yes magazines, for pennies hons, papr backs, thats a tough one- who reads anymore?/ has the time? dont go high on the junke you have on most of itt, put best offerr, neogiate itt!! it always works on biger items bulky stuf just say best oferr too get rid of the junke! and picture frames would be a hot item right now with holidays coming into play hons!
