Ipod battery life?

is it true that the space you fill up in your ipod impacts the battery life? for example, i have a 30GB and ive used up about half..does that make the battery life shorter?

yes because the more room the moe energy you are wasting even if the space is not filled up its kinda' sad

if it's your first battery then yes...if it's not i would think not
