At this point I'm lost for words. Think about it. The Twins rolled over to the A's. The Tigers pitching dominated a powerful Yankee lineup. Carpenter beats the Padres...twice!! And the Dodgers played like little leaguers!! This must be the Twilight Zone!!! Okay, with that said I'm still going with the Mets. They can score runs. They've been able to do it all year. I don't see that changing certainly against the Cardinals. After Carpenter what's left......really??

As far as the American League. How can you not go with the Tigers?!?!? It's all about pitching and right now the Tigers got it!!

Mets don't have there starting rotation pitching like they did in the regular season. I think the only game the Mets are going to win is the one that Glavine pitches, but don't count the mets out St. Louis starting pitching isn't much better. I would say Cards in 6

The mets would be extremely lucky to beat the Cardinals once, let alone win the series. They just don't have the talent or the experience to eliminate St. Louis. I wish they could win though!

Sorry the Cardinals will NOT beat the Mets. Your dreams of a 1968 World Series rematch will not come true!

Wow, you lit a bonfire with this question. I think the Cards will win in 6. The way the Cards played against the Padres, it would almost have to be the Cards going to the series.
