its usually guys in Semi-trucks and construction workers that check me out all the time and tend to follow me ..Why is that?

I think that since I drive both a Pick up and a Semi-trailer at work, perhaps I can shed some light on this for you.
I'm going to guess that you're pretty attractive. Take it as a compliment, but I understand how constant leering would make you uncomfortable. So I apologize for the rest of the people in my trade that are well.... creepy. Following is not cool either and if I were a woman, I would not appreciate that.
We do have a fairly good view of what goes on inside cars, aside from seeing good looking women, we see ugly ones, people masturbating, drinking, doing drugs and a bunch of other crazy things that have no place in a car!!!
So hopefully this has shed some light on your question. Sorry for any inconvenience.

ha you have no idea. The things we see from up there...just about everyday there is a bimbo in a miniskirt driving with her left foot up on the dashboard totally clueles to the fact she's the topic of conversation on the cb radio for every trucker in a 10 mile radius.
Why do we do it? we spend weeks, some poor guys months away from our wives, our families.
As far as following you.. I doubt that's happening. We aren't going to follow a car into an unknown area. We tend to know where we are going and not to deviate from the plan. If I followed you into a dead-end street or a cul-de-sac, what am I to do then? I can't just pull into someone's driveway and turn around!

Probably because guys in trucks spend a lot of their time on the road alone and it must get lonely. Plus, think of the view they have from up there!
As far as construction workers....maybe some testosterone-y male competition thing?

Because they r sitting higher than you , so remember no short skirts, the truck drivers that is, and 4 construction workers i think they have can u wolf whistle on their job application. I don't think they mean any harm, imagine if they didn't check you out!!!!!!!

Just look the other way. When the light turns green, and you both drive away, odds are you'll never see him again anyway.

Because they can?, know its when there within arms legnth is when i would be concerned. So enjoy while you are still pretty.
