Why wasn't Jean cured instead of killed?

Question

I mean if Wolverine had cured her instead of killing her, the phenix would be gone and jean would be back. Also will there be an XMEN 4?

Couldn't he have used the cure from the plastic gun on her as he did on Magneto? Also why did Scott die? The desire was too poweful? And why did she wait so long to emerge from the water?

wolverine cannot cure jean b/c jean was overpowered by the phoenix and there was no way wolverine could've had enough time to undo the damage...the only person that could've helped jean was prof. x, but unfortunately phoenix got to him first....

i think they killed off the main characters so that x-men would not go on....it's retarded b/c i LOVE x-men, but i don't think the producers could've continue to pull it off... x-men 3 was too rushed .n. they should've at least had gambit!

1. Jean was under the control of the Phoenix, he killed the Jean to stop the Phoenix

2. He can't kill the Phoenix. She has the mental strength to particalize people which means she has the mental strength to reassemple herself without Jean's body. Mean while so does Jean. You never saw a body in a grave now did you? All you saw were three markers and no ground overturned, in other words no burial.

3. The cure is only temporary in its serum form. Mutant antibodies will eventually destroy the serum making those mutants immune to the serum but not the cure himself.

and 4. Yes, if they can resign the cast. The problem has been Hallie berry who does not want to keep playing Storm. That and the fact that the cast costs a lot of money and ticket sales dropped this film.

Perhaps Wolverine didn't have the capability to cure Jean like Prof. X did, so his only choice was to kill her?

I'm sure there will be an XMEN 4, since Magneto was able to move the metal chess piece at the end of the movie.

If you have been reading X-men comics for a few decades, the Phoenix force CAN NOT be killed, it just moves to another body.

And Jean Grey might still be in a cocoon under the lake.

But that doesn't mean they will pull those plot elements for the comics into the movies.

There won't be a 4. The producers had a hard enough time getting hugh back for this one. and as for jean dieing, I think she had too. going with the whole no fourth one thing, she had to die for the show to end. if she hadn't died, I'd say there'd be a fourth one. just getting cured and living happily after wouldn't be a good ending for xmen.

No plans for an X Men 4, but they might make a Wolverine movie. How would he really have cured her anyway? He didn't have the powers, and she was gonna destroy everything. Had to kill her.

They killed her because she had severe PMS bitchiness, and no X-Men 4 since they killed off most of the main characters, but Wolverine will have his own movie and somemore about he other characters, but who cares as long as there is a chance to see Hugh Jackman naked, heres hoping

well...... if you go by the comic books that is phoenix and not jean grey. "huh" the phoenix is a natural force that wanted to know what it was like to be human so it telepathically made a deal with jean to take her place to save the rest of the x-men. of course this is the movies so....

That's what I was thinking. He could have just stabbed her with the needle. But it probably would have been blown away like his clothes were when he was trying to get near her.

Doesn't the phoenix always die and come back to life... great question... I think they are gonna be doing spinoffs instead of xmen4... who knows....
