My girlfriend has a pretty regular cycle...about every 26-31 days. However, it is day 36 and she still does not have a period. We had sex 4 times last month and used a condom every time. I also pulled out before I orgasmed every time. There was no slippage or accidents...atleast ones that we could tell.

Both of us have been very stressed about the possibility of pregnancy....we are both only 18. However...could the stress be making her this late? I have heard numerous women talk about how late their periods have been just because they were frightened of pregancy. Others tell me that stress only block ovulation and that it has no direct effect towards menstrual flow.

She is getting normal, period-like cramps. She does not feel any different than usual. She has no nausea, dizziness, headaches, soar breasts, or anything else associated with pregnancy. She has never been this late before....the latest she has ever been before now was Day 35. How much can stress affect her cycle?

I agree...stress can really affect your cycle. I say try a home pregnancy test. If it's negative and she doesn't get her period within the next 2 weeks, she may want to call her doctor. If she doesn't get it by the next time her period is due and she still tests negative, then she definately should see her doctor if her cycles are normally regular.

I was almost a week late and I had cycles that were like clockwork. Turns out I wasn't pregnant, and it was just stress. So it can happen.

Well she is going to be pregnant, THAT is a given.
Well whatever you do please do not get an abortion, that is just the most evil thing someone can do.
A father at 18 is tough, but if you are mature, I think you will be fine.
The plus side to being a young dad is, you'll still be young when you son or daughter is old enough to do the fun things in life, like go to a circus, carnival the movies, shopping.
A kid is not the end of the world, just the one you currently have...actually the new one is way better.
You have a real reason to get up everyday, and not just for yourself.
If she is pregnant, dont be one those asshole "fathers" who says "its not mine" or one that screws off because he is a selfish turd.
You can be a great dad at your age, but seriously...killing an unborn baby is not the answer.
Good luck and congrats.

I wouldn't be worried about Pregnancy just yet, 6 days is nothing. Stress can be everything.
I used to get my piriod every 30 days. then i didn't get it for 6 months. i acualy thought i was the next virgin mary or something, lol. then i went to my doctor, and she told me that i was having alot fo stress in my life, and the hormones changed my cycle.
So that happens sometimes, don't worry.

Stress can definately affect her cycle. She should take a pregnancy test. Six days isn't necessarily a huge concern. Be supportive and pray to God to get you through.

Stress can definately upset your cycle. She should get a pregnancy test and do it first thing in the morning.

when she becomes 1 month late. maybe she is. but from what you are saying here. i doubt it. a womans cycle can change at any given time without notice. relax. i am sure that she will start her period soon, and things will be back to normal.
