I want to know what you think. What drummer lays down the best solo, that just blows you away and leaves you thinking holy crap that was awesome.

John Bonham.

John Bonham has the best right foot in the history of drums. He trained in alot of different styles of music. He changes up alot and has a bunch of different sounds and techniques. The drummer who can do alot of fills while still being on beat and never upsets on a single night. The 20 minute Moby Dick solo was brilliant! If you can drum like John Bonham. I'd pay alot of money to see you play.

Neal Peart, hands down the best solo drummer I've seen/heard. He's a full percussionist, not just a drummer.

Go rent a DVD of any one of Rush's live concerts....the legendary Neil Peart is the best drummer on this planet. His setup is simply amazing and uncomparable. A drummer's drummer.....in both his concert solos and in Rush's music.

Jeff Porcaro-Toto drummer, died in '92 from a heart attack caused by an alergic reaction to a garden pesticide. This guy was so good he could play "ghost notes" where you couldn't understand how he could possibly make the sounds. Amazing.

John Bonham the solo is Moby Dick. sadly he is no longer alive. this is from a live album of led zeppelin. they are very persnickity about licensing their music so good luck finding it on the web.

He doesn't solo much, but Vinnie Paul from Pantera (I know a metal band) is pretty nasty.
