The episode is called "The Search For Something More," it was the 8th episode of season 1. It wasn't in season 2 because in season 2 Haley left Nathan to go on tour.
Just if you want to know, the song that was played when Nathan and Haley first kissed was "Dare You To Move," by Switchfoot. :D
