To add fractions first write both fractions so that they have the same denominator. so for 2/3+4/6, write both fractions with 6
in the denominator.
2/3=4/6, so rewrite the problem 4/6+4/6=?
4/6+4/6=8/6
8/6 =6/6+2/6=1+2/6=1+1/3=1 1/3
So yes, you were right, Good job.

2/3 is the same as 4/6 so you add 4/6 + 4/6 and you get 8/6....reduce that to 4/3 and you get 1 1/3..

well, 4/6 can be reduced to 2/3, so then you can just add the numerators, and you get 4/3, or 1 and 1/3.
its simple.
or you could just multiple 2/3 by 2 to get the common denominator of 6, and then just simplify at the end.

First of all, 2/3 equals to 4/6. And if you can't add, you had best go back to first grade.
