According to the news broadcast he is either going to have to resign or be fired.
Personally I don't think they should fire the manager they should fire the whole team. They are just a bunch of overpaid players who do not act like a team they are just in it for themselves.
I am a die hard Tiger's fan so whatever happens to the Yankee's it really doesn't bother me.

The Yankees have not won the World Series since 2000. George Steinbrenner thinks the Yanks should win about every three years, at the least, based upon what he's paying.
Just goes to prove that it's not the money, it's the talent.
And money doesn't necessarily buy talent.

Yes. He will become the scape goat for poor pitching, hitting, and fielding by a group of players who earn over 220 MILLION dollars a year!! George cannot trade away or let loose his players, but the manager is expendable, and Torre is, therefore, gone!!

GEORGE STEINBRENNER PAID THE MONEY TO WIN NOT TO LOSED WHICH THE YANKEES DID GEORGEY CAN'T STAND TO LOSE, HE CAN'T FIRED THE HOLD TEAM SO THE MANAGER MUSH GO. GOODBYE TO ONE OF THE BEST MANAGER THE YANKEES HAVE IN YEARS ITS SO SAD. IF THE HIGH PAID PLAYER DON'T PLAY LIKE THEY GETTING PAY FOR THE MANAGER IS GONE NOT THE PLAYER.
