Not a simple question to answer. I suspect it depends on your job seniority & qualifications, distance to travel, and whether you liable for a good redundancy package. There are so many changes in the NHS at present and there may be a different policy( or Government )in 5 years. The " hot" site will be presumably be a local trauma center, so there should be greater opportunities for training and promotion. I hope you get some feedback from someone has transferred. It might be a help to indicate your current job position so that people could give more accurate comment ?

Best of luck

This happens so much with businesses these days, it's a tough one!
If you go to the 'hot site' as soon as possible then you win that way , it may take time to adjust to the new atmosphere and make new friends but hey, it will anyway.
If you stay where you are a little longer, you can enjoy it but it is constantly changing now and you'll have to go eventually.

It's got to be a 'move sooner rather than later' from me!

if i were you i would stay until the day they shut the doors, then you get laid off and can collect unemployment, right? that would be a good deal to me. that way you have a littl epaycheck comin in while you look for another job and you don't fall behind at all. and i feel bad for you, almost like a job too good to be true! man oh man, that relaly sucks. how often do you find a job you like and people you like to work with at the same time! good luck!!!

Just get some options open and however much it is a good job now think about the lead-in times to other positions and could your finances take it if you were without an income?

I wouldbe saying "bye" right now... it doesnt look good to be made redundant... people think you are not good at what you do, companies only keep the best and thin out the dead wood whenit comes to redundancies
