I heard no. But they're so expensive you'd think they would be good.

I have a Dyson "animal" model, the purple one. It does have great suction, but it is not good for longer dog hair. The other problem is that the filter gets stinky, you have to hand wash it, which isn't hard, but can be inconvenient. The Dyson at my house is relegated to the upstairs away from our Pyrenees.

It is expensive. Our Eureka cost 75% less and does OK. It needs to have its canister emptied more often, but it has cleaned reliably for more years than the finicky Dyson.

these are so GREAT! I have the yellow one and I cant believe how much it picks up. My mother in law tossed her rainbow after using my dyson! I WILL NEVER use anything else. SO WORTH THE COST!!!
with 4 kids and 2 pets we blew up 4 different kinds in the past 9 years- dyson is the only one to keep up w/us.

I clean homes so have used all types of vacuums. The Dyson works fine, but it is big and bulky. Like pushing around R2D2.

I own a Rainbow & it is absolutely the most unbelievable piece of equipment I have ever invested in. Yes, they are expensive, but they have a 25-30 year life span. You get free labor for the entire life of the machine. I dust with it, sweep my foors, vacuum, clean my walls, & filter the air that goes thru my cooling/heating system. You will never regret taking the time to check this out. No bags, no canister. Your machine cleans with water.

No. The filters get all clogged up and have to be cleaned and serviced regularly, also they do loose suction despite what the ads say.

Sebo are a much better bet for about that price
