A poodle! They are the second smartest dogs you know!? Or if your going for a big dog get a German Shepard supposedly the smartest dog like ever

A Chihuahua-Pomeranian cross! They are incredibly cute and very well mannered dogs! They can get a little yappy but everyone needs some sort of alarm system!!
My Chihuahua just had two pups three weeks ago. They so very cute!!

Depends on what you want it for and where you live, but I would recommend a medium size mixed breed from the pound. Many purebreds have problems, research it well dogs live a long time and you need to live with what you choose.

depends on your living situation. i got a jack russell terrier. i live in an apartment. i have to make sure i take this dog to the park and let it run around for at least an hour everyday. i thought, "small dog, good for apartment." sure, but i have to invest the time to keep the dog from going crazy. all dogs must have a "job" in order to keep their sanity. my dog's job is to fetch.

i think there is a way for you to find the best type of dog to fit your personality and stuff like that, you can research that info on line. I personally love Cavachon puppies, they in my opinion are the best, bichon shih-tzu's are adorable also. Good luck finding the best dog for you.

boxer, female!!! very good dog, medium size! i had one and she was really nice and she was very protective but that is an instinct and some dogs dont have it.
or if you want something smaller...
mini schnauzer, very protective, very small! i have one right now and he is so cool, but i would get a female so you dont have to deal with the guys bouts of anger when he still has he nuts!
