STDs aside if you miss more than a day you need to use protection for a week. If you take antibiotics or some other medications you need to use condoms the entire time and for at least a week later. Some men feel once the condoms come off they never need to wear it again and some women feel that they can’t ask the guy to put one on. Then what happens an unplanned pregnancy. Why aren’t people more careful? My wife and I have been married four years and seeing each other seven we just had our first baby planned it is not that hard to be careful

i agree with you on that one. some people dont understand that not all protection is 100% accurate especially if you dont use it properly. and only a condom would prevent you from std's (as well as other protection methods)
some people think that the pill protects u from diseases as well. just goes to show that we don't look into these things thoroughly before using them.
i justhope people can learn to be more careful so things like this dont happen in the future.
the last thing i want to see is another baby who is born into a family that doesnt want it because of the parents not being careful enough...

I agree completely. When I was on any medications that would affect my birth control we always used a condom. My fiance and I have been together for 3 years and have never, until recently, been pregnant. I used my birth control correctly and used a back up form of contraception when it was needed, but we still became pregnant this past July. I wasn't on any medications and was still using my birth control (the nuva ring) correctly, but still I became pregnant. For the most part birth control is 99% effective so a pregnancy with proper use is very rare, but still occurs as we found out. We weren't planning to have a child until after we were finished with our education, but things happen and we are very happy about it. I'm not going to make excuses and call it a mistake or an accident because it wasn't (not planned but still wanted and loved), it just happened and we are happy and can support our child. We are still going to continue our education and plan on getting married soon after the baby arrives. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not always perfect and the only 100% effective way to not get pregnant is to abstain from sex altogether.
Congratulations on your beautiful baby!

I agree with you in trying to plan pregnancy. I'm married and expecting my second, however, I will tell you this. Whatever is God's plan for us, is his plan and the only person to control it ... is him. I was on the pill while married, never missed a dose, and ended up getting pregnant a month after we were married. This second pregnancy was a COMPLETE shock as I was on the patch this time ( still 99.9% effective ) and he didn't well .... um, fertilize the egg the conventional way. Scientifically, there was VERY little chance of a pregnancy, however, here I sit, week 16.

I agree with you though in planning a pregnancy as best you can. Sometimes nature takes over, and it's in God's hands.

I totally agree, people are just careless & selfish. They think that cuz they or their girlfriend are on the pill there's nothing to worry about cuz no baby will come, well, there are diseases that can come & some will never go away. I don't know why girls carelessly get pregnant, most of the time they aren't grown up enough themselves and don't put the babies best interest first. And girls, just cuz you get pregnant doesn't mean the guy will stay with you or that you can control him.

OMFG finally someone with a brain, now if only their were more people out thier like you but one thing you got wrong, Birth Control can actually fail at any time even if you are not taking any medications and take your pills everyday, My mom is GYN so I know basically everything about pregnancy and how it can happen.

I get so sick of these "I got prgenant on axcident" claims, you did not get pregnant on axcident you got pregnant because you were stupise and not 100% educated on sex and pregnancy.
