It doesn't move, I lost my baby at 13 weeks but didn't know until my 18 week scan, I was up at the hospital the morning of the scan and the midwife I saw used the monitor to hear the baby's heartbeat and couldn't find the heartbeat but told me she could feel the baby kicking the monitor away. I was distort to find that the baby had been gone for 5 weeks after been told that. The movements she felt was more likely the placenta or something but the baby will not kick or anything but if its floating then I guess its moving, if you move your belly and it just swayed like in a bath when you move the water whatever is in there moves to.

Sorry this might not be the answer to your question but I hope it makes some sense to you.

Once the baby dies there will be no movement. A friend of mine lost her baby around 28 weeks. She knew something was wrong because she stopped feeling movement. I think the baby had been gone for about a week once it was delivered and she had never felt any movement. I am guessing that if the mother were jumping up and down, running, resting on her tummy/rolling over...the baby may 'move' about in the amniotic fluid (just as if you placed an ice cube in a glass of water...if you bumped the glass the cube would move), but that would be it. I hope you are just asking out of curiosity and no one you know is dealing with a baby's passing. Blessings~

um i dont think so. movement is always a good sign that the baby is still alive. but probably a good thing to look into. if u still feel kicking then a doubt the baby died.
thats just my guess... i cant understand how a baby could still move around if he/she has died...

No It doesn't move. My baby died when he was 39 weeks. While he was in distress his heartbeat dropped down to 4o and for the last 12 hours I had not felt him move once. It's not possible for the baby to move once it has died

i dont know but my guess is a good as yours im thinking when the unborn baby dies the body realizes that and trys pushing the baby so maybe the body is contracting causing it to feel like its moving....if that makes scense

ANYTHING DEAD CAN HAVE A REFLEX
IT COMMONLY CALLED THE LAST BREATH BUT IT CAN COME IN MOVEMENT,BREATHE,RISING
ITS ALL IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM OF THAT PERSON'S BODY
WE ALL HAVE THEM EVEN ALIVE WE DO
THE BODY DIES BUT THE NERVES DONT
THATS WHY THEY CAN GO YEARS BACK AFTER SOMEONE DIES AND TEST THEIR DNA BECAUSE IT IS STILL LIVEING BEYOND THE DECAY AND THE DEAD PART OF THAT PERSON
DEEP IN THE FLESH LIVES A LIVING NERVE ALWAYS
DONT DOUBT THAT IT HAPPENS IT SOUND WEIRD BUT IT DOES

No. If it is moving it is probably just doing so in the fluid. That is a horrible experience as I know many people that have lost their child that way. If it is yours, you have my deepest sympathy.
