With Joe Torre all but fired from the Yankees, wouldn't he look nice in a Red Sox uniform next season? Who would you rather see next season as manager of the Bosox, Terry Francona or Joe Torre? Please explain.

Terry Francona is probably the worse person ever to manage in the major leagues with the exception of Frank Lucaze of the Phillies back in the early '70's. Francona, as some may recall, was once the Phillies manager and was just God awful. They dropped him like a bad habit. Right now Joe Torre is revered among Yankee fans and if he gets fired most will be in an uproar. How can you fire a manager who in 11 years has won 11 divisional titles, 6 American League pennants and 4 World Series Championships?? It's not Joe's fault that management didn't supply him with a decent pitching staff.

Steinbrenner will certainly fire Joe this week but I'd be more than surprised if he ended up in Boston. The are some things that just won't happen. Boston needs to do two things. Get rid of Manny and get rid of Terry. Manny is a loose cannon and still has some market value. Francona needs to find a trade. I hear McDonald's is hiring!!

I'd rather see Tito stay in Boston. Joe Torre is a great manager, but the visual of seeing him in a Red Sox uniform is not a pretty picture. Francona has done a great job, but this year's injuries hurt him and the entire team. This year has proven there's justice in baseball...the Yankees are out of it...again.

I can't see Joe Torre ever wearing a Red Sox uniform (and the boss hasn't fired him yet - perhaps he'll have a temper tantrum and then calm down a bit before he fires anyone and everyone in sight).

Francona is a decent manager. The Red Sox have no reason to get rid of him.

The players are used to working with Francona. But on the other hand, Torre obviously did a lot of good in NY. I think it would be great to see the Sox win with Torre - imagine how enraged George Steinbrenner would be!

Francona is a better fit for the Red Sox personality-wise. Could you imagine that wild bunch from 2004 under Torre? I don't think Red Sox Nation wants to see their fun-loving organization turned into a tight-lipped Yankees clone.

Francona, no doubt. If Joe Torre is the new manager of the Red Sox, there is no god.

Both are great managers, but I want Francona in Boston next season. He has served us proud thus far. Besides, Torre couldn't win with a 200 million dollar roster. What would he do with Boston's meager 125 million budget?

Ya it quite is super! i'm a pink Sox, so of direction i decide on them to make it, yet I understand why a Yankee fan needs to work out them in. The playoffs basically are not an analogous without the Yankees and the pink Sox scuffling with in recreation 7 of the ALCS. In 08 i needed that the Yankees made it quite of the Rays, and in 07 i've got self belief like the Sox street to a WS could have been extra suitable if the Yankees had made it to the ALCS.

No. Francona got them to the World Series in 2004. He did a good job with a crippled transition team this year. Francona stays, Epstein stays. Manny--who knows? Torre, no not in Boston. No thanks.

I would rather see Tito stay where he is. He has proven himself well thus far. He led us to the World Series and did the best he could with an injury laden team this year. Let's give him another year to see what he can do.
