skin after i give her a bath! she's still little, i bathe her in an infant tub, by the time i'm done giving her a bath, the tub is full of sudsy water instead of clear water, so i feel like if i pour more of that water on her to "rinse" her, instead i'm making her more soapy... i haven't figure out a practical way to do this, if i put water in a bucket and keep it there for the final rinse, by the time i finish, this water is cold... HELP!

EXTRA INFO: looks like i haven't explained myself clearly enough... i have the baby tub inside the bath tub when i bathe her, NO, I DON'T USE THE SOAP LIKE BUBBLES IN THE WATER, i did try putting water in a cup, but it's never enough, i don't have a detachable shower cap with a hose (that'd be nice), and i also tried running the water after i'm done bathing her, but it takes a long time for the water to become warm, and in the meantime, baby starts getting a little cold and cranky. all that said, WHO HAS A GOOD IDEA? thank you for your help!

what i do is this
1) run the water so that it becomes warm ( start this little before I finish soaping her up)
2) unplug the tub ( that she is in)
3) and then catch the warm water and pour on her.

Hope this helps

I bought a bath seat that goes into the tub. This thing is great. The baby sits in the big tub and I use a removable shower to wash him with. This removable shower thing is the greatest thing for cleaning a baby, I think. I tried the other way, but ran into similar problems. Plus my son would be in the bath water, then what do you do.

i remember having this exact problem with my first baby! But with my second baby I first gave her sponge baths, then took her in the bathtub with me, always with Daddy there beside me to wrap the baby in a towel so I could get out of the tub! Well, I wonder what you could do. You could put some water next to you that is too hot for the baby and just pass time until the water cools enough to rinse her...that's the only thing I can think of. Unless you're willing to carry her soapy, slippery body over to the sink to get some fresh water. You could always baithe her in the sink. You can go to Wal Mart or Target and get one of those sponges that you insert into the plastic tub and cut it to fit in your sink. Then you could always give her a bath in the sink. The water is always fresh and clean that way!!! Good luck baiting you little sweetie pie, I hate rinsing her in soapy water, too. So much that I took a bath with my second little sweetheart!

Her water shouldn't be that sudsy. Don't put baby soap/shampoo in the water like bubbles in the tub. Put warm water in the infant tub, get the washcloth wet & put a little soap on that, wash her up, & she should be clean without being too soapy & you won't need to rinse.

Pour out the soapy water in the infant tub and refill it and rinse her with the clean water.Make sure its not too hot.Or just rinse her with a wet towel.Have you ever thought of a bed bath or a sponge bath?

Fill the baby tub and then fill the bottom of the tub with a little bit warmer water. When you get the rinse take a cup and scoop the water and rinse her... of course check the water before you pour it on her. It also helps to have some help... my husband helped me for awhile I don't know your situation but you can also use a friend or a mom... good luck to you two

If you use mild baby soap any suds should come off easily with a towel. I have bathed my baby in a baby tub, in the kitchen sink and in the big tub. I kind of rinse as I go, saving shampooing hair for last, so his head does not get cold. If you use the infant tub in the big bathtub, or next to it, you will have access to clean warm water. Then I wrap baby in a hooded towel and dry him off.

I put my baby in a special baby bath in the bath tub. I fill it with warm water and give my baby a sponge bath. Then, I turn on the faucet to get the clean water. I still do this with my 4 year old because I hate to rinse her hair or get it wet with what we call "butt water."

I've always put the infant tub in the bath tub, that way the water is right there when you need it.She does'nt need soap at every bath time.Water works fine. They have plain soap (cvs brand) that u can use wet or dry like a lotion. It works great dry,it softens the skin & cleans it.I use it for my son who has eczema. No suds if using it wet.

This is totally normal not a stupid question. Once your done giving her a bath even if she still has soap on her. Take her out lay her on a towel and just take a warm wash cloth to take of the extra soap. No harm done:)
