Well there's Silkroad, Maple Story and Runescape (just add .com to all of them and you have a url). Those are free (no monthly fees and you don't have to buy the game itself). There's also Guild Wars. You have to buy the game itself, but there are no monthly fees.

I'm not sure. I know others know of places but all I know of are the yahoo games free trials, but either they have limits or you can only play for so long.
