SLP does have an international airport.

Continental flies into San Luis Potosi from Houston, and Mexicana flies there from Dallas/Ft.Worth, so it can be done with one stop out of Omaha. However, a two stop flight are the cheapest shown on Orbitz. The lowest price listed is $873.

Round trips are cheaper than 2 one ways.

Flights are especially expensive for the holidays.

Flights into Mexico City are $160 cheaper. From the Mexico City airport, you can get dierct bus to Querétaro about half the way to SLP. Frequent buses to SLP from there.

For info on buses from the airport, go to this page of my website:

Querétaro, by the way is one of my favorite places in Mexico.

Orbitz will have a link to Priceline where prices are a little cheaper but you don't know your departure time until agree.

San Luis Potosí has no international airport, as far as I know. I think the best way is going yo Mexico City and then board a bus to San Luis. I recommend you to buy an open round trip.
