I watched a hypnosis show in Six Flags and now I'm kind of skeptical whether it was real or not. . .I am kind of leaning into the realism of it

Weather or not the show was authentic, I do not know, but hypnosis is very real and very possible. Your mind is put into a state of twilight kinda, and you are "open to suggestion", when you are in this stage you are very vulnerable, this could even be dangerous in the wrong hands. I personally feel this is a very precarious place to be and not worth the chance.

There are several levels of hypnosis and not all the people performing hypnosis knows what they are doing. But for the most part, most hypnotists know what they are doing and it is real. There is stage hypnosis, light hypnosis for something like quitting smoking, and a deeper state of hypnosis for something like trying to remember a crucial detail of a crime or something like that. Group hypnosis to stop smoking does not work. However, a one-on-one with a hypnosis to quit smoking does work. A lot of the stage hypnosis is fake.

Yes, Sir, It is real. It is prevelent to be proven true in many studies. My brother took physcology class and the teacher brain washed/ hypnotized the student to act like a monkey. When the hypnotized student came out of the hypnosis, he had no clue as to why everyone was laughing at him. Hypnosis is real. It just takes a trained individual to be able to hypnotize one of great will or strength. Many people are brain wahed or hypnotized everyday, and are like this for the rest of thier lives and don't know it. It's called indoctrination by certain authoratative individuals, such as parents, teachers, pastors, etc. It's very common, but many just don't see it as being actual hypnosis.

Hope my answer helped you. Good luck

Yes it is real. In my last two years of college, I worked full time and carried a full load of subjects in night school or really night college. I had no time to study and was not a really strong student. I read every book in the library on hypnosis and then used it on myself in the classroom. My grades improved at least a letter grade and I graduated. It is real and very powerful. The basic idea is to remove distractions and just concentrate on one sense. I know a psychologist who hypnotizes and he is for real. I know of a couple of people who used hypn. to stop smoking. I tried hypnosis to remember an incident but I was not a good candidate. I could not relax or concentrate very well at the time.

It depends on what you mean by hypnosis. Supposedly, it is simply a different state of consciousness, (like sleeping, drunkedness) whether or not it is true that people will do all of the wacky things or not is probably dependent on their personality. Some people are unable to reach deep states of hypnosis and even those who do are still aware of social reprocussions of their actions. I had a friend who could hypnotize people and he experimented on a mutual friend. She said that she felt really relaxed, but we were unable to coerce her to do anything stupid.
It could be that some of those events are staged to minimize errors and maximize entertainment.

All hypnosis is, is just the power of suggestion. If one is tired, and maybe sleepy, you can induce the power of suggestion, and possibly, imbed into the mind of the subject, the will, or rather, the urge, to have a desire to do something. Similar to subliminal messaging, as used to be done at drive in theaters, and old TV shows and commercials.

Saw this at a school assembly and again at another show. I believe it is real also the hypnotist said you can't be hypnotized against your will. A group was chosen at random from the audience and I know they weren't acting.
They couldn't even remember what they did.

It's true, because it's a state that you can reach (anytime when you want), it's called the alpha state.
But of course in every tree there are rotten apples, so probably are many shows that you can watch on the tv.
