"Indoor air quality" has been the key phrase used by anti-smoking advocates and in ballot language for smoking ordinances.
Smoking is known to cause an unhealthy environment for employees and customers subjected to secondhand and sidestream smoke in business establishments where smoking is permitted.

I am very glad you asked this question. First let me say that I am not promoting smoking nor am I implying smoking is good for you.
Having said that I think smoking should be a matter of choice. Oh my, the medical profession says it is very bad. Every ailment known to mankind is caused by smoking. If you fell off a two story building and broke your leg it would be because you smoke.
This is very convienent because if there is something wrong with you probably about 70% of the time they can't figure what is wrong so it is because you smoke. At the same time they are filling you with pills that is suppose to cure this but might cause that. (Also every year there are more people killed by medical malpractice than were killed in the Vietnam War.) This is a
matter of fact. Don't challenge unless you research.
I have seen people hack and cough outside when someone lights a cigarette. However I have seen the same people in a bar where you could not cut the smoke with a knife and it did not bother them a bit. How does that fit?
Do you not find it strange that there is more whinning and moaning about smoking than there is about Drugs, Alcohol, Murder , Rape and Robbery?
If you think second hand smoke is bad for you look at the A coils in an airconditiong system. Also the crud in the duct work with you are getting a massive dose of whether it is heat or cool. If some one told you that you have to quit using Centeral heat and air you would probably have a hear attack.
Here is another thought. Unless you live in a remote area with your own water well, every time you take a drink you are drinking from a recycled cess pool. In other words from someones toilet.
Oh!! But it is clean. YEAH RIGHT! The Lone Ranger Rides Again.
In closing I will say, If you choose not to smoke don't. But keep your mouth shut about those who do. Why even President Clinton (used) Cigars. So it can't be all bad can it?
