Yes this is true. Due to global warming Antarctica's animals are dying or in danger of dying. The ice caps are melting and spilling fresh water into our oceans each year changing or environment.
There is a lot of stupid people answering this question. A lot of miss inform stupid people who for some reason close their eyes to the needs of the world.

The point is not wheter or not animals are dying directly as we speak because of global warming. The point is that global warming does change the environment worldwide. This has far-reaching consequences for human and animal life.Global warming is not a joke nor a hoax or a leftwing thing.Conservatives or people who tend to wave away what scientists say do so because they don't care and want to continue bussiness as usual.Their irresponible ways to produce all sorts of things and import raw materials from other places has affected peoples lives all over. It's their agenda to keep going.Whole wars are being fought because of this. However Global warming is a fact and not only global warming is a fact but also the deterioration of environments that had been left untouched for long.During the last hundred years due to overpopulation and overexpoitation of natural resources certain animals and plants have become extinct or rare.Certain environments have become smaller and smaller.Global warming has so far not that much effect on the lives of animals in the Antarctic but other forms of change have effect.Pollution has showed up in fish from the Antarctic waters, even tough it's very small. The more we research the more we know.In terms of animals dying, most of Antarctica's aquatic animals are being caught for the fishing industry.
In the northern hemisphere the situation is far worse.Overfishing is more of a threat to certain aquatic species.Almost all of the sea-lions on some islands where caught around the 1900's ry.Their numbers are small now but they are no longer in any danger of becoming extinct.Effects of global warming are more evident in certain parts of Africa and also Europe.Winters in the North of Europe are less severe.More rain falls in shorter time and summers are hotter. The temperatures are generally on the rise over a longer period of time.

i don't know why people say its a myth or a hoax. every year records are broken for hottest temp ever. The planet is getting warmer in general. My predictions are that the climate runs in a cycle. It gets hot for about 5,000 years, then we have an ice age. Records have been kept since the 1800's but it wouldn't surprise me to have had hotter weather like 10,000 years ago. but in general, every cycle that comes through, hot or cold, is a little warmer because of global warming. Bottom line, antarctica is getting warmer and i heard on tv last night that the polar bears can't survive in warm weather so yes, animals will die in antarctica if the planet warms. And so will many people because sea level will rise dramatically due to melting ice

Global warming is a fact! I don't know about Antarctica, but the Arctic is definitely suffering, and it is definitely related to the combustion of fossil carbon. The Antarctic is slightly more forgiving because its ice cover lies mostly over land. Try a goggle search for global warming and look for links.

We can't exactly say that global warming is causing animals to die. It is not that drastic yet. But it is still going on, really slowly.

I believe there are penguins in the northernmost latitudes of Antarctica, I don't know how they're doing

First of all, they live in the Artic. Second, there's been research to suggest that Polar Bear populations will suffer if ice melts too early. They hunt on the ice, so they can't hunt if there isn't any.

As for people who say "global warming is a hoax", perhaps they should go into science and study it for themselves.
