It is personal...some people are very touchy on that subject and can lead to the end of a friendship. I've seen people get very passionate about their party.

Best guess is that so many political appointees end up letting the public down, which embarrasses the people that voted them in office.
I shake my head at those car/truck owner that still have the bumper stickers proudly saying they voted a person that are arrested and are in jail! Amazing... denial?
Also it IS personal information, same as most data about a person.

Because it is a personal choice. You see, because we live in a democracy, we have the freedom to choose our political leaders, We're not made to vote for someone if we don't want to, like people in Iraq were forced to vote for Saddam Hussein.

Because they don't want to admit they voted for the wrong person in some instances. A person should be proud of who they voted for and explain why.

It is personal. We have secret ballots so that you can't harass another voter just because they voted for someone you didn't support. It's none of your doggoned business who anyone else voted for because influencing voters is big business in this country. No one but you has a right to know.
