Actually, Tainted Love was an older song done by a more obscure group than Soft Cell. But the older group did not have the keyboard pounding, or the sexy whine supplied by Soft Cell, which ultimately made the song their hit. B.

It was definitely Soft Cell, not The Cure - it came out in the mid '80's. It's one of my favorite songs.

"Soft Cell" is the original artist - I don't know if the Cure remade the song.
