Could it possibly be as bad as what is currently on the web (and is extensive on Y! Answers) such as the "short hand" web-talk??

Example:

yu = you
speel = spell
pls = please
iam = I am
luv = love
im = them

Those are just a TINY example of what I am talking about.

((( 2 days ago, someone posted a question with only 7 words in it. BUT, 3 of the 7 words were spelled wrong...)))

Linguistically, I think, contaminating any language is wrong if it somehow change the language's sentence pattern and structure.

But, if we look at it through the eyes of communication needs, i think it should be accepted. If the language is accepted as a culture and understood by everyone, then the aim of the language is achieved.

I think anything that is not English and tries to be like it is just wrong. Wrong i tell you.
