No, beauty is a standard passed down from society, not a universal standard. Women who pass for beautiful are often too thin for optimum health. Guys who pump steroids may look great on the outside, but end up completely screwed up internally.
That said, someone who is in decent shape generally looks good. They might look like a model, but people will find them generally attractive.

Yes, it's very likely that fit and healthy people seek out the same traits in a partner and find them attractive for those reasons, among others. The Brad Pitt - Angelina Jolie partnership could serve as an example.
I would still say that looks alone are not sufficient to base the choice of a possible life partner on, and the two people need to be compatible in other ways such as temperament.

Features are generally inherited, such as jaw, nose and cheek shape. These are related to beauty, but not health. However someone who has these ideal features, but is unhealthy, will not look as good as someone who has the features but is healthy, as skin tone will be much better in healthy people. Smoking increases wrinkles around the eyes etc, poor diet and low fluid intake causes skin to lose structure and features to sag, making the person generally less attractive, without detracting from what they are like as a person. Obesity is just unhealthy, as well as being considered in most societies as unattractive. However some societies consider being overweight as attractive. So you never know.

I reather marry a wife, because she's sincere, beautiful on the inside!! and truthful! Vein is false as a two dollar bill!! Nobody can guarantee that a couple will be together forever. New autos, in the assembly line, brake down with a guarantee!!!
