I'm not a guy, but I like watching sports. It is exciting because you don't know the outcome until it is over. And I guess maybe guys get "stupid", as you say, because they find the game more exciting than they find you. Why don't you try watching sports with your guy sometime? Then maybe it won't seem so stupid.

Because we are almost drunk on passion with sports. And if you add beer on top of it we can get really goofy.
Braggadacio and Machismo can kick in with some fans as well.
I have personally smashed things, punched a hole in a wall, and cried in a drunken stupor during a playoff loss once. And I am not an exception to the rule!

its guys, and because we are usually on the brink of hammered or drunk. Plus, it is one of the few things that makes us happy, unlike your nagging while we watch.
