I am a man and I have the best landscaped lawn in the neighborhood.Flowers trees brickwork a small pond with fish by the front door.Just yesterday I planted winter flowers in the front and some more bulbs in the back. When I went through a divorce I bought a home and spent most of my spear time for the next two years working on the gardening in steed of dating.I need some time to rethink about what just happened in my life.I even became a landscaper in town and did very well.I sold my landscape business 1 1/2 years ago and moved on to the next stage of my life. Most of my friends were gardeners. My friends and I are straight. Some pro ball players, hunters, fisher man, family men,etc..I'm not sure who put that weird thought in your head.Let me tell you something. If you want a happy calm feels be a gardener.

Lots of men are interested in landscaping. In my Master Gardening class there were more men than women. We had a great time because we were all crazy about plants and enjoyed the same subjects. It was so great to be with a group of people who had the same fervor for landscaping. No problem to my mind.

I don't think so. I'm praying for the day that I meet a man that can landscape, or at least understand my appreciation for having a beautiful lawn/grounds. Landscaping is good exercise too. :)

Why would it be a problem. The majority of landscapers I've ever seen were men. Do what makes you happy!

All the landscapers around here are men, what could be the problem.

Why would it be? I am a woman and at times wondered if a woman should be interested in landscaping, but comes so natural, its fun and therapeutic. Any body can be interested and great at anything they want. Good luck and have fun.

no. landscaping is the manly art of yard work. it contains feminine stuff in it like flower gardening, but it is man stuff. the general rule is that if the activity contains the following 1) dirt 2) gasoline powered tools 3) construction; you will not look girly doing it. if you are digging a hole while wearing a pink shirt, nobody will think you look feminine

The horticulture field is a trade that is wode open to anyone who will do the studies and apply the knowledge. When I got my degree 2/3 of the class members were male. A good portion of those men are making REALLY good money and have faithful clients. I'd say go for it if you are really interested in the field.
