exactly what the Chicken Noodle Soup Dance is. We won't get into poultry-and-the-egg speculation, but suffice it to say that since June there has developed a rap song and a dance which go hand in hand. The dance is generally acknowledged to be a descendent of two previous outbreaks called the Harlem Shake and the Toe Wop. The Chicken Noodle Soup rap song was recorded by a 19-year-old Harlem kid (supposedly this one) called DJ Webstar (the perfect name for the kid behind an internet phenomenon) with a very young girl MC called Young B (perhaps this one). The song tells you how to do the dance, then it tells you how to eat: "Let it rain, then clear it out; let it rain, then clear it out . . . Chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side."

Where did the idea come from and why the name “Chicken Noodle Soup”…?

DJ Webstar : It just comes from kids playing around on day and it just was birthed out of there. It came out of the St. Nick projects. As far as the name, I am going to be honest with you, man, I really don’t know how the name came about. Young B came around one day and she just started calling it “chicken noodle soup” and it was on.

note: 1. the kid didnt write it, the adult did.
2. so who made the dance? its the harlem shake with only 2 new moves, which is the hook of the song
3. look at the dance, and listen to words simultaneously
4. the song makes no sense, but they are letting something "rain" and "clearing" something out...
5. chicken noodle soup doesnt rain, money does. look at first gesture of "letting it rain" and the other gesture of "clearing it out" you dont eat money...
6. why she talking bout her eyes being low, and how u 16 and earn all this jewelry you are speaking of...especially being black and in america...(being honest)
7. now as from an artist perspective, how easy is it really to put subliminal message into anything nowadays? i know too many people that use that in their music for either a joke or hidden meaning. subliminals get u to do things, you wouldnt have thought of on your own.
8 1ST VERSE she meets a guy on the street, 2ND VERSE, shes not the star of the game, but they call out her name, what does she do for this chain? shes not a rapper, no industry has signed her. 3RD VERSE shes in a car, gettin faded, and bitches are talking **** about her behind her back...
9. do math.

Actually what I have heard is that the song started as a video on ebaum's world, and so many people liked it that it became famous. Kind of like the William Hung, She Bangs song.

who knows. im just as confused as you. i mean, songs are getting weirder everyday. like, there's a song called peanut butter and jelly. what the heck? i have absolutely no idea where they come up with these names. but you know what's even sadder? that some of them are actually good songs.
