There is sooo much lint in my laundry when it comes out of the washer. Even though the dryer screen catches a lot, is there anything I can put in the washer to reduce the lint? It's really getting ridiculous, especially with things like towels, rugs, and other fluffy items. My washer does not have a lint screen that I can see. Is there one inside somewhere that could need to be replaced? Or is there anything I can put in the wash to help?

I always separate my laundry, and I use Downy or Snuggle in the washer. But I have noticed that some of the problem items lately have been new things. But I always wash new things separately before use or wearing...

I don't think that there is anything you can do to help that, just make sure you separate your laundry before you do it and that can help to reduce the lint. Don't wash a white towel with a black shirt because that will cause the white towel lint to show more on the black shirt. Usually the dryer takes care of the rest.

The worst lint producers I have are those bathroom rugs (especially new ones) and old cotton terry towels that are falling apart because they are tired and have been through too many detergent & bleach washes over the years.

Do those lint producers separately when you wash and dry your laundry.

Oh, one more thing. If kleenex is left in pockets, it becomes lint in the washer & dryer.

Some questions first: Are these new clothes or fabric items? New things lint more than older clothes. Save your lint for art projects.
Next, try fabric softener in the wash. Follow the instructions on the bottle.
My husband says to get the 'Journal of Ir-reproduceable Results' and rent the movie "Striptease."
However, it won't fix your problem but you'll feel better. For more info, talk to jmusto@pacbell.net.

most washers have a lint trap in them check to see if you have one. better models have one. then just clean or you can try washing the tub with winger and hot water buy self through a wash cycle.

Try running an empty load -- perhaps there's lint stuck in the holes of the tub. Also, make sure that you don't have another place (like the agitator) where link collects.
