My daughter just turned ten and she has severe acne. I am going to send for it on Tuesday but is there anything else that works?

I heard there's this stuff called "AcneFree" which you can purchase at any drugstore. They claim they are identical to ProActiv, but half the price. I've looked at the ingredients in the stuff and it's the same as proactiv but half the price!! I say try this before you get ProActiv, it's only like $18.00. Good luck!

Acne Free is stuff you can buy at some stores and its about $20. Word of advice though: ProActiv probably wont work too well for severe acne, as it is for mild to moderate acne. I've tried it, and it does help, but it's not worth the price. I would suggest going to your family doctor and he/she will prescribe something and it will probably cost way less if you have insurance.

There's a new product available, at Wal-Mart, called Acne Free and it's a complete kit like Proactive, but half the price and it's supposed to be just as effective as Proactive.

Good luck

Have you tried taking her to a dermatologist. They are experts in the care of skin conditions. Before ordering proactiv you need to have her skin tested so you can avoid any allergic reactions to any topical over the counter remedies. I use proactiv and yes it does work. You really need to follow the directions to get the best use out of it.

Pimples
In gram flour add curd (yogurt) and make paste and apply on face, before it dries completely rub that. Do this for every two days. It is good to avoid pimples.
To avoid pimples in great extend, take fresh cinnamon powder and put it in tightly sealed bottle and take little powder mix with water and apply this only on pimples....read more >>...
