Based on another question I answered, a question struck me. Why is it that when black and mexicans hit their children they get away with it, but as you see on the news, all the white people who do it are getting arrested? I know it's happening out there! I'm not trying to be racist or anything I just really want to know! Carlos Mencia asked this same question which again I couldn't answered and changed the channel before he could! Someone tell me why! I asked this before but didn't get a satisfing answer,so please give it a try!

I used to know this black woman, she died rest her soul, who used to pull down her little boys pants and practically beat his bottom raw. My boss at the time saw her to that one day and said to her that it was abuse and she should be careful before she was turned in to child welfare. The woman told my boss that white folks just didn't understand about little black boys. She said you have to beat their a** all the time or they would grow up to be like the gang bangers or the blacks in prison and she wasn't going to have her son grow up to be like that. He is an adult now and a polite, wonderful young man. I don't know if her beating his butt had anything to do with it, I only know what she believed and how he acts today.

It isn't any different. You apparently have a cultural differentiation going on from your perspective that i han not encountered....unitl perhaps this question. In L.A. there is no difference, it is a matter of timing as it is anywhere. This seems to imply that coproral punishment will be laid off on caucasions.....or people looking to bust them for it or for something. Where i have lived, it makes no difference....it was always investigated. Sometimes, as a very good friend of mine is a teacher it is harder to pin down a parent in a financially poorer part of a city where gunshots and freeways drive-byes are taken first in condsideration, that an interpretor would be called in and proof had to be allowed in. Any child having the appearance of bruising, of sinking inward on account of habitual beatings ...dare I say this, even the attitudes of 'maybe' having been mistreated were taken quite seriously. it was a matter of who is paying attention and cares in the first place. It doesn't stop at the beatings, molestation has its signs in a child.....after a time, the signs wear too thin and the obvious had to be addressed. I will allow that certain children did a better job of hiding it, and that as a Parent in an affluent neighbourhood in the Santa Monica area, I did have a teacher come to MY home and start grilling me about my son's malady, and I threw her off my property so quickly I doubt that she ever did this again. A valid excuse for absence and an insult. It still bothers me that one woman broke the rules and thought that she could come up to MY door and quiz me about my son. They even called a meeting of most of his teachers, the principal, without telling me it was going to be a grilling session. my son did great in school, he had been very ill, it was documented and i kept up with letting the school know about this. I was tricked into coming in and having this onslaught of questions. Three weeks out of school, countless ER visits, doctor visits......no, i didnt beat or hurt my son in any way....nor am I here to give the DX in a public format. i made it through the session however I blew them apart legally & their set-up was regarded as 'hushed' & i left them with more data than they will to this day be able comprehend. They were embarrassed and from that day forward never did this again. Looking for a scandal? Well it didnt work. The teacher who came to my door, never so much as uttered an out of line word again.
As far as the other children in the same school, they checked as well.....and yes there were some who needed attention. They got it believe me.
perhaps there is a regional or geographic difference to others, or it is so well hidden, but i thnk that it would surprise you just how much is reported.
Think outside where you live. It happens everywhere and eyes are defintiely watching out. it is a matter of approach and who cares. well i care. BTW my son is grown, married and doing well living his life.
It depends upon where you are ......i will allow NO ONE to give me the "cultural differences' thing when it comes to protecting a child. I think that is what you were actually stiing for in lieu of my reply......maybe things are different elsewhere, but do got this, if "I" see that there is a need to comply with Child Support Services then i will, i have, and oh yes it pisess people off.......I am for the child.
If a child is not safe, that is one thing I will NOT stand for and i speak up....how many of you do the same?

I dont know but i think this is America and everything has to be done the American way. It's almost the same in Africa like it is in Mexico beings that i lived in Africa and children are hit by thier parents but who cares?..same goes to the Mexicans, they also hit thier children,so im GUESSING they think its part of the blacks and mexicans to be hitting thier children but unusual of white people to hit thier, its so confusing and complicated but you got a good idea bringing this up,i would never know what the answer would be

hmmm that is a good question. you also see though that all these school shootings and molestation problems are by white people. i'm white so i am not being racist. it may have something to do with that but i don't know!

I never really thought about it until now. Now that I think of it your right. That is true. Sadly I don't know what the reason is. Now I'll have something to think about. That is true.
