the bridesmaids in red, carring pink flowers. I am thinking of doing a theme of like Valentines'Day since my colors are the same as that holiday. Any suggestions on that idea? Anyone's thoughts are helpful, and appreciated.

It depends on the time of year your wedding is in.
Autumn or winter, you should have the bridesmaids in dark red, like a poinsettia or wine red.
Spring they should be in light pink, like rose or hawaiian shell.
Summer they should be in a darker pink/light red, like coral or cherry.

If you have dark red dresses, accents and flowers should be neutral so the dresses stand out, plus everything else will be overpowered by the deep red color.
If you have light pink dresses, accents of light blue or pale purple would look really flattering.
For dark pink, false cypress (green) or pottery red would look quite lovely.

That sounds pretty. Make sure that the two colors are close to each other in shades. You dont want a ruby red with a hot pink, Ruby red with a light pink would do. You can also mix red in their bouquets. I've seen pictures with these colors used and the weddings were beautiful.
You can also make your invites using these two colors. Also...aisle runners, programs, napkins and the entire table set up.

It sounds gorgeous. For the bridesmaid's dresses, try pink dresses with a ruby red sash. The bouquet could be pink, red, and white roses. And for the reception, since you are doing a Valentine's Day theme, and idea for table centerpeices could be empty wine bottles, with yours and your hubby's names and wedding date on them with pink red and white flowers inside. It gives off a sweet, romantic vibe. You could also use a cream color during the reception for table clothes. Good Luck with your Wedding.

Yes, I agree that there should be a neutral color like white, silver, or cream, cream is better in my opinion. I think that it would be cute to incorporate Valentine's day into the whole theme, maybe have some hearts around, maybe use those conversation hearts as favors, centerpieces too. Maybe you could get som bubbles in bottles shaped like hearts, and use a lot of confetti that is hearts and pink, red, and cream streamers all around. Balloons that are those colors and heart shaped ones too. There are so many things that you could do with these colors. The theme could be love too. Good Luck!

That sounds like a lovely romantic idea for a theme - hearts are a nice theme to use too - see this page for ideas - crisp white linen on the tables scattered with rose petals would be nice - floral wreaths are hot a the moment - you could use Pink and Ivory roses with a hint of pink to create a sensational centrepiece for the table in a heart shaped wreath - you could even add an heart shaped floral door wreath to welcome your guests to the reception.

Tiny glasses used as individual mini vases contain a sweet mini bouquet of a single Pink roses and Gypsophila.

Candles give a romantic mood use large pillar candles as a centrepiece or lots of individual tea lights - do check first with the venue that they will allow this.

It sounds pretty -- you could choose a pink-toned red for the dresses. Work with a florist on the flowers and check out bridesmaid dresses online. You are the Bride! Enjoy every moment and Best Wishes!

That would look so lovely. Have a little bit of white mixed in with the pink flowers.
Get one of the carved unity candles that has the tea light instead of a wick so that it will last forever.
If you have a candelabra have red and pink candles alternated on it.
If your having it in February design the invitations so that they look like Valentine cards (the ones you passed out in grade school)

That sounds very nice. Red and pink can be quite effective. Trailing hearts from the bouquets would be pretty. Heart necklaces as gifts for your bridesmaids. The possibilities are endless. Good choice.

That's very nice, but I think the flowers should be white so the red isn't as intense.
Good luck with the marraige!
