I have timewarner cable, and recently menu stoped working, i can see the menu, and move through it, but I can't select a chanel. The only way to change chanels is by the ch button, which can take a while when going to 134 or something like that. Any advice... do i need a new remote? Does it cost to replace it?

Take your digital cable box back to your Time Warner office, they will give you another one free of charge, also take the remote with you as well, they will test it and take care of the problem, it is the property of Time Warner, they have to back their service agreements.

new batteries. i think the replacement remote is around 20 bucks.

Get Direct TV. Better reception less problems and best of all, less expensive
