You can replace 2 ounces of whole milk for fomula a week at a time until she is off formula. This will help her get used to the taste of whole milk and also avoid 'shock' to her system.
Introduce her to veggies one kind at a time to check for allergice reactions. You can mix a little rice cereal in it, to help thicken it up. Her throat should be strong enough by now to swallow it well. Then introduce fruits one at a time. Three days is the ideal trial period for each food.
The people who feed their kids solid food before 6 months of age are breeding fat kids. Those who are feeding their toodlers junk food like CHEETOS are terrible parents.
A great baby food cookbook is "Baby Let's Eat" You'll love it.

Take it from a man. Some pediatricians may want you to continue with the bottle. But if your infant is not satisfied for very long with the formula ----- it may be a relief for you to start feeding the girl some solid foods. Use a feeding guide or just buy the prepared early foods found in the grocery stores .( Make sure you are aware of some table foods which you should avoid at this early stage ---- such as peanut butter and others. )

I have a 15 month old and she's completely off formula. Unfortunately not the bottle yet. She drinks one at nap and bedtime, but whole milk. I was putting rice cereal in her formula though before she was 5 months old though. Now, most of the time I slip some in her nap bottle to make sure she's getting enough to eat if she was fussy at lunch. For awhile she was on complete solids, but just recently went through a stge of eating nothing except baby food. If things were cut small enough though and put into a babyfood jar she would eat them, lol. She can be a brat. Now, her favorite lunch is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, just light on the peanut butter for fear of choking. She eats almost anything we have for dinner.

You can stop formula now and start feeding her milk. What you can do if you have formula left is start by mixing the two so you daughter can get used to it. Also solid food can definatley be started now. Just watch for choking hazards like grapes (cut into 4).
Good luck

When my twins were 6 months old I began feeding them solids. Starting with the Stage 1 Foods.
Now, most mothers will start feeding their babies solid foods at 4 months.
My pediatrician gave us a list of what foods to feed our daughters when the reach a certain milestone, i.e. moving their tongue around, picking up items with their hands, etc. You may want to ask your pediatrician.
Hope this helps ya!

At 12 months it's pretty safe to switch from formula to regular milk. As far as solids go just continue in what you are already doing and maybe introduce some new ones.

Whenever you think she is ready.
Both of my children were eating solid food at about 2-3 months old.
They both were off formula and the bottle at 9 mos old and they loved every min of it.
Try something soft at first like mashed potatoes realones and see how she likes that then move to something thicker.
also CHEETOS they are literally sent from heaven because kids love these things especially when they are teething.
Good luck.

At 12 mths is when you can switch her to whole cows milk from a cup.2% milk at the age of 2 is what doctors recommend. My 15mth old would'nt take milk for the first mth until i mixed it with ovaltine. If she does;nt drink it at first don;t panic. As long as she is getting calcium from other things (yogurt, cheese)she will be fine.

Mine were whole milk at 7 months old. She is old enough for it now. If she has teeth she should be able to each little things like cheerios, Mashed potatoes,Hot dogs cut up really good for her to chew! I never asked the doctor cause they say you need to do this and that. My husbands mom is an old time farmer and she told me it will not hurt them. My girls are now 6 yrs old and 8 yrs old and very healthy and growing like weeds!!
