Try your local consignment shops. The usually have a marvelous selection at a fraction of the price, and most of them have only been worn once. My friend got a gorgeous evening gown for $35.00.

I got my dress for my cousin's wedding from here and spent under $100!! . . and I had my dress within a week . . you might want to order a size smaller than your measurements . . I had to send my dress back to get a smaller size and then still had to get the new dress altered . . .

^they have a lot more formal dresses. & definetly more name brand :].

craigslist.com it is a free classified ads in most towns across the USA. It has a WANTED section as well and you could post your Wanted: Evening gown ad there besides browsing their for sale classifieds.
