I have people tell me that you don't start showing until around 6 months. I am not skinny but not overweight either. I am just wondering if anyone else out there started showing early or does this mean that i am going to put on a lot of weight during the pregnancy.

Every woman is different when it comes to gaining weight during pregnancy. If you were thin, then it will be easier to tell you are pregnant much earlier. If you were a little thicker, then it will be more difficult to tell because you have extra body fat to hide your increasing uterus. Most women start showing at around 3-4 months, but everyone is different. 2 pounds is not a lot of weight. I would not worry about it. See your doctor if you have concerns. Good luck.

Most women start showing around the 4th month unless they're heavyset to begin with or they're carrying the baby more to the back than the front. A woman of average build should expect to put on 20 to 25 pounds over the course of the pregnancy. Most of it occurs in the 3rd trimester because the baby grows rapidly then.

Nobody who answers your question can tell you anything. Why you ask? Cause every pregnancy is different.

''Most'' women start to finally gain in the 13-20 week time period. Why you ask? The morning sickness usually starts to go away by this time. So you seem to be like the norm! Don't worry about gaining weight too fast. Just make sure your eating the right things, and not alot of BS! Fruits, Veggies, grans, fiber, etc. Not that junk ( cookies, cakes, chips, soda, fried everything!!). Your body/and baby need for you to gain weight in order to sustain the life that's trying to grow inside you.

It sounds like the baby is getting bigger- not you. It just means that your baby is taking in a lot of food and growing in a healthy way. Hopefully you will gain at least 15-20 lbs so that way you AND baby will be healthy. Also- you loose a lot of the weight when the baby is born. Subtract how much the baby will weight, the weight of the placenta, the water, etc. Anyways- don't worry about it. Things will be good.

You could be just bloated, but I started showing with my daughter about 2-3 months and I wasn't that big or little. But when I realize it I had a lot of water in my bag and I ate alot also that doesn't mean you are going to gain alot of weight. If you start to notice that you are putting on alot of weight during your pregnancy don't stop eating just put yourself on a diet and start eating healthy. You might feel alot better.Becareful and take it safe.
