Just installed a new built up floor in the bath room. Now toilet flange is too low to get a tight seal even with with a thicker wax ring. New floor is about 7/8" above old flange while ring sets about 1/4" into receased bottom of toilet. Need a solution. Use a 2nd wax ring? Flange extender(s)? What types of sealants or gaskets would I need? Thanks.

these 2 are right, sealant & gaskets do nothing the wax ring ( in your case double) is what bridges & seals the toilet connection to the waste pipe... once you set it & bolt it down, pick a good grout, or caulk & seal it to the floor so it will not move. the movement will open the wax seal & cause leak. set it w/out a wax, & seal the base to the floor & you would eventually find poop seeping out of some where!

Buy a floor flange extension ring. Seal it to the old ring with silicon caulk and screws.

edgarr is right. Sounds to me like a double wax ring will work also.
