I'm american and my hubby is an Egyptian. I plan on flying to Egypt to marry him.
After the wedding in Egypt, what is the procedure to bring him to the US with me, so that we both come back together.
What forms do we have to fill out? where should we go to start the procedure for him coming.
Thanks a lot.

We plan on coming back, but i will be going from Egypt to California, and he will be going from Egypt to Texas. He'll be living with a relative in Texas for a long time.
I will not be supporting him financially, the relative will.

I am an American & my soon-to-be-ex-husband is from Syria. It took 3 months after I petioned him to come here. But if immigration knows or finds out (& they will) you coul d be prosecuted for fraud. Be very careful... I loved my husband with all my heart & he had me conned that he loved me too, a few months after he became a citizen, he decided he didn't love me & wants a divorce. Good Luck!!

You will have to start the procedure in Egypt at the US Consulate. You can't do anything until you have the marriage ceritificate. But... you may have a problem before you even get started. The reason I say that is because he is going to a different state other than you after marriage. The Consulate WILL question this and there is a possibility that he will not be approved. They have changed rules now since 9/11 and have become very strict. You will have to be his sponser for him to come to the US even after marriage. If your income is not enough, then he will have to have a co-sponser as well. Best for you to talk to an immigration lawyer before you go to Egypt and marry, because now there is a good chance it could blow up in your face and he won't be allowed to come at all. I've been through all this, so I know what I'm talking about.

So you know, you will have to petition for him to come into the U.S. and unless he is processed immediately, he might have to wait in Egypt for a while, before coming here. Check out www.uscis.gov there is a lot of interesting information there. Also if you are faking a marriage for papers, you have to be able to prove that its not a sham marriage, so him living in Texas, isn't going to get him papers. You're going to have to live together.

He is Egyptian and you are not, he is muslim and you are not (I am assuming). The laws will not protect you in Egyptland and favors the men only and women have no rights whatsoever.
Do not do it and find an American man and on of Mexian Heritage .
