Birth control can linger in your system for up to a year or more. The best thing you can do is to stop ''trying''. It stresses you out too much. If I were you I would first check to make sure that I am ovulating every month ( you can purchase a ovulation kit in any CVS/Rite Aide/Wal-Greens, etc), and that your period is coming on every 28-30 days.

Just a thought.......I hope your married and going thru all this trouble to bring a child into the world.

everyone is different, after stopping the pill your normal cycles should return in a month or two. it may take up to 4 months until you are fully ovulating again or you may get pregnant the first month off the pill. either way, dont stress until you have tried for one full year, it takes some normal couples this long to conceive. the pill does not have any permanent on your fertility.

I have three kids and with each one, I stopped the pill, had two periods (one right after I stopped) and the other one 28 days later and the next month I got already pregnant... But with each person it is different. You might get pregnant right away or it might take you a little longer... good luck

5 months for me. Only one month for my best friend. Another conceived while still on the pill! Everyone's different, but relax and don't start worrying until two years is up.

I am only 19 years old, and I couldn't afford getting an annual done at Planned Parenthood, so they would not let me buy any more birth control. I stopped taking it in July, and I found out I was pregnant in September. It only took me two months. Good Luck!
