November 1st. I had someone give me a check once and by mistake they wrote down the next month instead. When I went to the bank all the tellers were pointing at me and laughing. I was so upset by this I cannot go to the bank any more.

People call me dumb and stupid but they do not have to point and laugh. It was not my fault anyway.

Technically November the 1st. The banks are not supposed to cash checks before the date written on them, but I have written out checks with a specific date and they were cashed before the date. One was to my uncle and the other to the city, it was a water bill.

You might want to call the bank about this. A good friend of mine just told me recently that the date on a check doesn't matter. It is valid as soon as it is signed.

she should not be able to cash it until November 1....that's why a lot of places/people do not like "post dated" checks.

Nov. 1st and after.
I have to do that too. Mine didn't take it out until the fifth of Oct, which made me mad.
