Lobbyist of corporations....And special interest groups....They are the ones putting money into the politicians coffers...To get their agendas' accomplished...
The president is nothing more than congresses' puppet...A "scapegoat" if you will....Someone to blame when things get screwed up...

Not 'who' rather 'what'.
Believe it or not, the free market system, Capitalism, drives our country. Is there a better system? Yes. Will it work? No. Why not? Because people are very greedy. We take what we don't need and oftentimes allow it to go to waste. Do other members of the animal kingdom ever take more than they need? No really. True, bears take a large amount of food, but they need it during hibernation. Generally, members of the animal kingdom only take what is needed with the exception of humans. We take and hoard while others suffer and die. Too bad we can't have it as a share and share alike. Take what you need and no more, but atlas, we can't because we are greedy humans.

I think its a mix of corrupt people who share control of our government. I think the mafia is involved and anyone else that has a lot of money. This country is truly not what it used o be, nor will it ever be that again.

WE control our government
but, we don't believe it
government (i.e. elected officials) is afraid of the common man
with good reason
government KNOWS that (especially in the u.s.)
the common man can affect change
as quickly
and as sweepingly
as he desires
however,
the common (i.e. the voters)
do not believe that they have that power
and, therefore, they stay fractured and isolated into groups too small to do much of anything
people with money
are used to wielding power
they like to
they're good at it
no one much gets in their way.
many times, the common man uses the wealthy
as an excuse so that they, themselves, won't have to do the hard work of
governance
